Car ran over pavement & damaged wall. Other RTAs here too this year - dangerous visibility.

Reported anonymously at 21:22, Tue 21 November 2017

A car ran over the pavement into our neighbour's wall, damaging it so that it will fall. Wall is now a potential danger to people & animals. I have seen 2 RTA's here in front of our houses in the last 12 months. One wrote off one of the cars, the other seriously damaged at least one of them. It is due to the visibility around the junction with Elmgrove Road. The previous owner to our house had the adjoining pillar (between no's 107/109 Thingwall Park) knocked down by another car within the last 5-10 years. My neighbour says he knows of 4 or 5 times that this has happened in the last few years in addition to the two RTAs I saw. There has been several near-accidents caused by dangerous driving (wheel spinning & speeding) & dangerous (illegal) parking around the corners of Elmgrove Road & Thingwall Park, restricting visibility. I fear for our children's safety, and those of others who use this road for their children to go to & from school at this point in the road, especially with what I have now seen. Neither children nor those with restricted mobility would have been able to avoid serious or fatal harm. There have been other complaints about the corners of Elmgrove Road & Thingwall Park this summer. I would love to know what could be done to create safe roads & pavements for us all along here.
