Pooling of water on footpath/cyclepath Reported anonymously at 21:36, Mon 27 November 2017 Following rain, this section of footpath especially, as indicated by the map marker, is currently suffering from pooling of water that takes a long time to clear. Please can the drainage be improved? This is the main route for people commuting between the southerly section of Festival way or Paxton Drive area, and Ashton Avenue bridge. The entire stretch from Ashton Avenue bridge heading south to Paxton Drive is very poor for people on foot. The path mentioned above floods, as does the area further along underneath Brunel Way. This section is also very dark. Continuing along the current directed route (through the Metrobus works) more uneven pavements and pooling of water is experienced. Is there a reason why people are being diverted through these various obstacles, when there is a well lit pavement/cyclepath alternative alongside the new Metrobus route south of Ashton Avenue bridge? Unfortunately this section is still fenced off to people, although no progress appears to be happening currently with this section of the Metrobus route. Please can this section be opened, like the section between the northern end of Ashton Avenue bridge and Avon Crescent has been? It is cleaner, with no signs of flooding, and properly lit. Yet frustratingly it is fenced off, causing people to take a poor quality, dark diversion through above mentioned obstacles.
