Approx 12 inch diameter by 3 inches deep pothole roughly half way along Ladies Mile road heading towards Clifton Reported anonymously at 08:10, Tue 18 February 2020 Pothole shows signs of a previous repair.Over a period of time the old repair has broken away leaving a deep pocket and a sharp edge. The incident happened at 18:25pm on Monday 11th Feb on Ladies Mile road Durdham Downs Bristol. It was dark as this road has no street lighting and with oncoming traffic you could not swerve to avoid . There was a loud bang and I had a tyre blowout and a damaged alloy wheel. There were3 cars pulled up on the parking area who had just suffered the same fate and a further 4 cars during the 2 hour period that I was waing for roadside assistance . I reported the dangerous pothole on the out of hours service and later that evening a repair was carried out
