Shrubs and trees encroaching on property and pavement Reported anonymously at 16:42, Wed 8 July 2020 It is understood that this small section of land (approx. 30m x 5m) is privately owned by Persimmon Homes. Persimmon Homes do not seem to have maintained the plot since the development was built in 1997, and now the area is overgrown with shrubs, brambles, a sycamore tree and a very large buddleia. The shrubs often encroach on the pavement (see previous report 'Protruding branches and twigs at crossing point on Crews Hole Rd are goes to cause an eye injury', 29 May 2018). In addition, they are now starting to encroach on the house at 8 St Anne's Close. This has the potential to cause damage to guttering as well as blocking out sunlight, and the shrubs may cause structural damage to the property if not maintained.
