Illegally arked vehicles causing accident hazard

Reported anonymously at 16:38, Sat 3 October 2020

There's always vehicles parked half on, half off the pavement at the nearside of Epworth Road, about 50 yards after turning onto it from the main road (Knole Lane). These vehicles completely block your view of vehicles coming down Epworth Road and around the corner. These parked vehicles, of which some are large vans, are causing a serious obstruction DIRECTLY OPPOSITE A NURSING HOME! These vehicles force wheelchair-bound people entering & exiting the building to go out into the road, & hidden from traffic coming down Epworth Road. I have had DOZENS of near-misses because I couldn't see cars coming down that road until we meet head-on, right in front of the nursing home. IF THIS SITUATION IS NOT RECTIFIED BY THE SENSIBLE INTRODUCTION OF DOUBLE YELLOW LINES AROUND THAT PARTICULAR SECTION OF EPWORTH ROAD THERE'S GOING TO BE A SERIOUS, IF NOT FATAL ACCIDENT. Just yesterday a lady pushing someone in a wheelchair was almost hit by a car because she had to push the wheelchair out into the road without being able to see around the large vans & 3 cars ILLEGALLY, & VERY INCONSIDERATELY, PARKED HALF ON THE NEARSIDE PAVEMENT AND HALF ON THE ROAD. The simple solution is to install some Double Yellow Lines for about 30 or 40 yards around that bend in front of the nursing home. This would completely clear the road of dangerously (and illegally) parked vehicles causing an obstruction. Mark my words when I say that if action isn't taken to rectify this obstruction, SOMEONE IS GOING TO BE SERIOUSLY HURT OR KILLED.
