Inadequate railing Reported by Matthew Brown at 15:43, Wed 14 October 2020 The railing at the end of Gaol Ferry Bridge (Gaol Ferry Steps side) is inadequate. It should have wire mesh or similar to stop small children being able to go under the railing and fall to their deaths. A lot of young families use the bridge now because of the development around the Mshed etc, lots of parents cross the bridge with multiple children and can't keep a hand on all their children. It would make sense to add extra protection to the most used areas at both ends of the bridge. 20m or so of mesh either side would greatly increase safety.
