Blocked drain caused by build up of leaf' and other items.

Reported anonymously at 10:36, Sat 19 December 2020

Blocked drain at the end of Greenwood Road in the mini roundabout near Knowle Park Community centre. Because we are getting so much heavy rain, leaf's from the trees on Broadwalk Road plus other items have been washed down Greenwood Road, and have blocked the cover on the drain. Lots of weeds are growing the gullies/kerbstones at this location, which stops the flow of water. Where we have had so much rain and the drain cover is blocked, Large amounts of soil/mud has been washed into the road surface on the mini roundabout. What i have witnessed is a hired lorry comes around with brushes attached and attempts to clear the leaf's and built up other material away? This in my opinion does not work it is unsuccessful. In my opinion men/women are needed to brush up the leaf's and other items and bag it up and leave it for collection. Something needs to be done about the problematic problem of weeds in the gutters/kerbstones that blocks the flow of water. In my opinion a strong weed-killer is required. I have witnessed something sprayed from the hired lorry that has been used to get rid of the weeds. In my opinion it is unsuccessful, because the weeds still keep growing. Every year we get the same problems, but in my opinion it is now getting worse. In my opinion it seems no one on a regular basis is clearing away the problems i have highlighted.
