Pavement significantly below kerb creating trip hazard

Reported anonymously at 15:33, Wednesday 5 May 2021

I tripped over when attempting to cross the road from the hotel side of Assembly Rooms Lane as there is a considerable difference between the level of the pavement slabs and that of the kerb stones, creating a significant trip hazard. The difference in levels is particularly great where I fell but is similar for most of the length of the road. I have no idea how long it had been like this but the pavement is severely sunken at the water-side end of the road. I was on my way to a hospital appointment and so had my cuts and grazes sorted out there but the outcome could have been very different if a vehicle had entered the road just as I fell.
