Drainage gully within Leonard Land is severely damaged and is causing water damage to our property 29 corn street.

Reported by Bristol Property Investments at 10:41, Wednesday 25 August 2021

Two electric boxes have been removed from Leonard Lane as they were obstructing the run off gully and causing the water to puddle resulting in water damage to our property. Following the removal of the electric boxes, the gully is in a terrible state of repair and requires replacing. The gully is there to transport surface water to a drain but the gully itself is full of cracks and gaps and there are further gaps where to tarmac meets the gully. Our property has a basement and due to the gully not doing its job, water is just pouring through the cracks and gaps and seeping through into the basement causing damage. The source of the problem is damaged gully run in Leonards lane and as this is adopted highways we are unable to carry out the repair works ourselves to rectify the problem. If the gully could be replaced and correctly sealed to the adjacent tarmac the water will run as it should and no further damage will be caused. The issue has been ongoing for the last three years or so. Many thanks, P.
