Vegetation overhanging the footpath

Reported anonymously at 14:36, Mon 27 June 2022

The pavement on the eastern side of Ashley Hill from Chesterfield Road down to the railway bridge near Briavels Grove has vegetation overhanging it that forces pedestrians close to the busy carriageway; disabled users and pushchairs especially. The carriageway is already narrowed by vehicles parking on the pavement on the other side of the road thus making that side's pavement also unavailable. Wide vehicles coming down the road (often at speed !) come very close to hitting pedestrians. As a matter of urgency and safety the overhanging vegetation along this stretch needs to be cut back. It is currently contributing to a danger to pedestrians along this busy road.
