Stoke Park M32 underpass - drainage much worse after Metrobus works

Reported via iOS anonymously at 20:52, Fri 10 March 2017

Sent to Bristol City Council 3 minutes later

The south side of the M32 underpass in Stoke Park is flooding much more frequently than it did before drainage works to support Metrobus project were undertaken. The area is now waterlogged after only moderate rain. This would normally only happen when nearby boggy areas were also watelogged after very heavy rain. Not a great problem for bikes but pedestrians are frequently unable to pass through without getting wet in last couple of months. Either the path needs to be raised, the area drained more effectively or water prevented from reaching area.

Updates

  • The route under the M32 in Stoke Park is still frequently inundated with water making it difficult for pedestrians with normal footwear to pass. This does not promote sustainable commuting between UWE and Fishponds/Stapleton.
