Sewage? Leaking into river across footpath
Reported via Android anonymously at 10:38, Sun 25 June 2017
Sent to Bristol City Council 2 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1060246.
This has been reported on multiple occasions over a 3 year period. Several council officers have also been involved. There is a constant stream of effluent flowing from the rear of the flats into the river. It is obvious that the land owners are aware as fences are in place on their land. Several photos and video can be obtained by contacting me.

Walked along the river yesterday, and I can confirm this issue has still not been resolved.

The contaminated water is coming from blocked drains the contamination is due the old tar works on the site. It is now leaching into the river and contaminating the river water. This should be reported to the environment agency.

"@Richard Neweth" - I have previously reported this to the EA via the local councilor. Unfortunately he was unable to get them to respond to the issue as Bristol City Council must deal with the source of the pollution and report it to the EA themselves if the land owner will not fix the problem.
Shocking (but not surprising) that BCC have not dealt with this in the last three years.
BCC: Can we please have a serious update on this issue.

This issue is still ongoing, I'm amazed that BCC has allowed sewage to flow into the river Avon for nearly 3 years, looking at the start date for this ticket. I cycle over this every morning, given this has been flowing unimpeded for 3 years the amount of raw sewage going into the Avon must be breaking some laws. Please get us an update.
