Poor parking is obstructing residents from parking on or getting off their driveways and allocated spaces, emergency services, deliveries and waste disposal wouldn't get through certain areas either

Parking has become a major issue in the area immediately turning on to leader street from Long down avenue (opposite the school). This has become more of an issue:
Since parking restrictions (2hr parking) was introduced over the road outside the school and the secondary bay of parking as well just down from the school.
More students have been introduced to the area which could also be a result of more parking restrictions at the UWE campus giving them no choice. I am confident that has had an effect as when it is not term time i.e summer holidays parking is not an issue at all.
It has got to the point where residents can not reverse off their driveways for leader street and long wood meadows. Or allocated parking spaces at the back and front of numerous flats (more specifically the resident and visitor bays for the Cook Court flats). Cars are being parked too close to peoples driveways and allocated spaces and completely taking away the turning circle that people need to be able to park in spaces that they have paid for! I am greatly concerned that the parking issue will effect trying to sell properties as who wants to pay a fair amount of money to live in this area if you can't park outside your own house?
There was always ample parking for cars that did not obstruct driveways etc and allow larger vehicles to get round before so I would not want to see the whole area double yellowed as where would my visitors park?
Several notes have been left by residents over the months as people are not parking responsibly or considerately and all the vehicles that do this do not actually live on leader street or long wood meadows so as you can imagine does not sit well with those that do live here.
I do feel that it was unfair that the parking restrictions were introduced over the road with no consultation to the residents in the area as if I had seen this i would have expressed my concerns at the appropriate time. The parking restrictions have not assisted parents dropping their children off at school as they all park on the double yellows on the other side of the road as well which leads to a tail back of cars as you cant get through which is also I'm sorry to say a joke and again completely inconsiderate of the residents living on the estate.
My suggestion is to abolish the 2hr parking restrictions currently on Long down avenue by the school and to also double yellow specific areas on the estate that are not designed for responsible parking.
