There is no dropped kerb meaning that the surface is uneven or those mobilising in wheelchairs.
Reported in the Pavement Defect category anonymously at 12:25, Mon 12 March 2018
Sent to Bristol City Council 5 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1241539.
Due to the uneven surface and lack of a dropped kerb a resident fell out of their wheelchair and injured their leg. This resident is unable to use the ramp at the front of her property therefore uses the back to enter and exit. However due to the current condition of the footpath, they feel that it is dangerous. Additionally despite white lines being painted to the road to discourage parking, there are times when cars have parked there, making it inaccessible for residents. There are a number of residents living in and around the area who are wheelchair or motorised chair users and/or have other mobility needs who use the back entrance and who would benefit from its improvement.
Please could work be carried out make a proper dropped kerb. Please could the white lines be painted over, perhaps in yellow to highlight to drivers that they should not park there.
