Reported in the Obstruction category anonymously at 20:15, Sun 1 April 2018

Sent to Bristol City Council 4 minutes later

The encampment in Greenbank View is now worse with 5 caravans arriving over the weekend and has now gone beyond the school entrance which is going to also impact on parents dropping off and picking up their children. These people are living on a public street causing an obstruction to the footpaths on both sides of the road making people having to walk in the middle of the road.

Residents are finding it harder to park outside there own houses Rubbish has been dumped and left on the footpaths and also outside and inside the nature reserve entrance.

Why is this situation not being addressed ? When is something going to be done about this? What is going to be done?

  • The situation in Greenbank View has escalated. There are over 50 caravans and campers living in an established encampment in Greenbank View. The council have the powers and authority to move the caravans under current law. They choose not to do so. Why are the council reluctant to take action and end this misery to the law abiding and tax paying residents in Greenbank View. It will be very interesting to see how quickly Bristol City Council move the encampment that have set up on Bristol Downs on Friday 18th May 2018 !, maybe the residents there being more affluent and having held senior positions in BCC will have the influence with the council to make something happen not like us residents in Greenbank View. The whole situation is appalling and the council should hang their heads in shame
