Bristol Uni student cars parked on pavement and cycle lane
Reported in the Obstruction category anonymously at 10:16, Thu 19 April 2018
Sent to Bristol City Council 4 minutes later
Bristol Uni student cars are parked on the pavement and in the cycle lane, blocking the pavement and the cycle lane. Increased risk to life for pedestrians and cyclist who have to avoid parked cars. Cars disappeared over the Easter and Christmas holidays and right outside Uni accommodation, hence why Bristol Uni students blamed.

The far more dangerous risk is from cars exiting Shaplands. Viewing up Parry’s Lane for these vehicles is so seriously restricted that they have to edge out into the path of descending cars who are just accelerating having exited the 20mph zone. Police and Highways are powerless to act as there is no waiting restriction. A single yellow line would solve the problem. Is it possible for this to be considered by Highways before there is a serious accident.

The problem continues here at the junction of Parry's Lane and Shaplands. Vehicles exiting Shaplands have to nose out into the main road to see whether traffic, including bicycles, is coming down the hill. This is putting all in danger of a serious collision. For safety, parking on Parry's Lane needs to be made illegal.
