Many deep potholes extending into road from south side kerb in the road section from entrance to new Viridor EFW to junction with A403.

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later

Estimate some of the potholes may be six inches deep and 1-2 ft diameter. In wet weather these are filled with water and impossible to see or judge depth. Impact with one at 30mph was enough to trigger my automatic impact fuel cut-off (equivalent to a collision) and cause me to stop in the road. This road has been decimated repeatedly by the construction traffic either directly at this site or HGV movements to/from Hallen ind estate BAA depot. This particular section is just the worst part of overall deterioration.

  • The problem is not fixed. With construction work reducing the road to single carriageway these potholes are hard to negotiate.
