6-7 inch pothole, quite deep (approx 6 inches)

Reported in the Carriageway Defect category anonymously at 20:34, Tue 22 May 2018

Sent to Bristol City Council 1 minute later

The surface of the road appears to have melted, and there is a hollow underneath so the hole could be dangerous to cyclists. The pothole is a few yards from the top of Grove rd as it turns off from Thingwall (going towards the field).

  • I have probed the void under the road with a bamboo cane and submit the attached photo showing the MINIMUM size of the void beneath the road. It is substantially bigger than the visible hole in the surface. Bristol Water have investigated and reported no flowing water, so have referred this to the Council. Please act before we have a hole the size of the marked surface on the attached photo.

  • There is nowned a hole in the pavement nearby and a drain cover there seems to be broken which makes it potentially a trip hazard using the pavement
