Overgrown trees and bushes blocking over half of the pavement
Reported in the Obstruction category anonymously at 18:57, Wed 23 May 2018
Sent to Bristol City Council 3 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1320384.
The trees and bushes growing out of the verge are obstructing the majority of the pavement. I estimate 50-75% of the path is obstructed by the trees and bushes growing out - you can see the line of the edge of the path from the road sign on the first image. The undergrowth extends 2-3 feet out beyond the boundary and the branches are now a significant problem. It is forcing pedestrians to the edge of the path, meaning you are very close to passing cars and particularly buses (who will be pulling in to the nearby Ridgeway bus stop and whose wing mirrors can be particularly close at head height). It will be a significant obstacle for pushchairs and wheelchairs. Also low hanging branches now also mean you have to duck under them.

What does "customer follow up mean"? I raised the issue and have heard nothing.

I still have no idea - all it says is "customer follow up". Nothing has been done to remedy the issue.

Now a year later, nothing has been done. This path is now so dangerous, someone will get seriously hurt or worse soon. The cars travel at up to 50mph and the amount of path available has reduced further due to tree branches, over growing bushes and now stinging nettles. This path needs to be cleared and restored to its original size before a serious accident happens. I am frightened to use this stretch of path between my nearest bus stop and house.
