Railway path surface disrupted by tree roots
Reported in the Pavement Defect category anonymously at 10:23, Thu 7 June 2018
Sent to Bristol City Council 2 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1333166.
This is the third time I have reported this defect. It has not been fixed, despite my previous reports being marked as such.
When I first reported it in February (at which time the defect had been present for many months), I had a call from BCC explaining that they had surveyed the B2B path and were aware of the issue, but the bad weather was delaying the work. I appreciate that there may have been a backlog of delayed works due to the weather, but it is now June and there are no signs of progress.
It would be good to know if there are any genuine plans to repair this extremely poor surface on a very busy part of the path. The degree of disruption to the surface is becoming dangerous, not to mention uncomfortable to ride over and liable to cause damage to bikes.
Bristol is supposed to be a cycling city and the B2B is one of the most important cycle routes in and out the city. The state of it is frankly an embarrassment.

BCC have been aware of this problem since at least February. Please can we have an update on when this very busy section of the B2B is going to be repaired?

What does 'customer follow up' mean? Nothing seems to be happening...

Great that this has finally been fixed. I'd be asking for a refund if I'd paid for the work though - shouldn't new tarmac be smooth?
Still, mustn't grumble...good to see other problem areas being patched elsewhere on the path.
