Speeding vehicles 24/7. Wreckless driving.

Reported by Drew Aitchison at 14:33, Sat 25 August 2018

Sent to Bristol City Council 1 minute later

There is nothing to deter dangerous driving in the road I live in, and other surrounding roads. I've lived here for 20 years and have never seen a police speed camera setup of ANY KIND, yet I invariably see them elsewhere in Bristol, almost always in the city's more affluent areas. Speed bumps don't help, speeders just get a bigger thrill driving over them. Police presence is necessary, and speed camera signs.

Updates

  • Chepstow Road, BS4 Bristol. Speeding cars and motorcycles of all sizes. Apparently, the authorities including the police won't act on a written complaint, they wait for an accident to happen first, which I find likely as my driveway gates and 8 feet of wall was destroyed by a wreckless driver in a stolen car. When I asked will the police investigate it, I was asked "you'll have home insurance I take it?"

  • No change. I haven't set eyes on any policing in the area.

  • No surprise! We're 3rd rate citizens around here. If it was Clifton or Westminster it wouldn't be happening.
