All road markings for the roundabout have worn away

Reported in the Carriageway Defect category anonymously at 20:50, Tue 4 September 2018

Sent to Bristol City Council 4 minutes later

On Sunday I was almost involved in an accident at the roundabout on the junction of Frenchay Park Road and Begbrook Park. I was turning right from Frenchay Park Road into Begbrook Park, when a Police car coming from the Hambrook direction, just managed to avoid hitting me. The officer turned and followed me, and so I stopped. The Police car stopped behind me, then after a short pause he drove off. I can only speculate that his colleague told the Police driver that he was in the wrong, as I was correctly following the rules for a roundabout. I think the problem was caused by the police driver not realising it was a roundabout, as all the road markings have worn away – see photo. This is not the first time I’ve had a close call on this roundabout, and people living nearby tell me incidents are common. Urgent action is required before a serious accident occurs
