No sign for southern end of King Dicks Lane

Reported in the Road Signage category anonymously at 09:59, Sat 22 September 2018

Sent to Bristol City Council 1 minute later

I believe there used to be a sign here that got knocked down in an rta years ago. It is very difficult for delivery drivers and postal workers to locate addresses in bs5 8hn king dicks lane as there is no evidence of it at the junction with The Avenue (pictured). The no cycling sign has gone as well so we frequntly get motor bikes and cycles coming up the narrow lane at speed which is very dangerous to kids and old people using the footpath. Thanks,

  • Hi - this was changed to FIxed but all that has happened is two yellow crosses have been painted on the pavement where the sign used to be. Can you please advise what is happening about the missing SNP and No Cycling signage? MAny thanks

  • This is STILL and Open case, yet in the last week the council have dug up and REPLACED the perfectly functional sign at the NORTH end of King Dicks Lane - with a brand new one. How can this be economic sense in the current environment?? I need to take this up with our local councillor.

  • PLEASE PROVIDE AN UPDATE. I have written to my councillors about this but still had no response. Why did the contractor replace a perfectly good sign at the top of the lane(Summerhill Rd junct.), when there is a MISSING COMPLETELY sign at the bottom of the lane(The Avenue junct)? If it was a simple error please get them back in to rectify. It be sensible to ask them to do this at no cost to "We the taxpayer".
