Unadopted lane leading onto Filton Road, Horfield
Reported in the General Highways Enquiry category anonymously at 13:13, Tue 25 September 2018
Sent to Bristol City Council 3 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1421886.
Unadopted lane running from top of Douglas and Laxey Road along by Oasis and the Inn on the Green pub joins up with Filton Road. The Douglas Road end has been resurfaced but the Filton Road end is in a dangerous condition - multiple deep potholes and surface breaking up. Although its unadopted can the Council not carry out necessary repairs for the benefit of all?

This road is still in a completely unacceptable condition. It needs completely resurfacing from Filton Road to concreted area outside oasis. Alternativly completely block it’s use, otherwise someone is going to have a very serious accident on this road soon!

The council needs to send someone to mointor the usage of this road and the adjacent roads. There are a number of converging access/egress points onto Filton Road at this point: BT depot road, this lane and the pub car park all spill out onto Filton Road at the same point, as well as being used by pedestrians, and being immediately adjacent a bus stop. Previous poster is right, with the deteriorating condition of the lane, its an accident waiting to happen. Certainly, if this was a public road and there was an accident, someone would be taking the highways authority to court. Even as an unadopted road, in the event of an accident if it could be proved the council were aware of the condition of the road and had done nothing, there may also be a case to answer there. Surely under the highways regs the council can require the Inn on the Green to sort out the road, or even the council carry out the repairs and bill the pub?
