Dear Sir, I need to update you that there is no white paint warning of this deep road subsidence on approach to the bus stop in Coldharbour Road adjacent to both Upper Cranbrook Road Halsbury Road, Henleaze. At about 1000 on Sunday 4th November 2018 I was cycling down the hill towards Kellaway Avenue at 15 - 20mph when my front wheel somehow caught in one of the cracks within the sunken area and I was thrown off my bike, sliding down the road on my left side with my crash helmet striking and then grinding against the raised kerb bus stop waiting area. I have suffered cuts, bruises, scapes, grazes and severe pain to my left leg, shoulder and to my neck. Sufficient that a kind passer- by called for an ambulance, as I was apparently slipping in and out of consciousness. I was treated by a paramedic at the scene. My bike is extensively damaged, including puncturing of my front tyre; my raincoat, my lycra sleeves and legs and my gloves have all been torn and my cycle computer smashed. I have lost my Seiko watch somewhere in the road. My brand new cycle helmet is scraped and split. Please can you look at the area urgently and also advise me if you will consider any form of compensation as this area does seem to have been left un repaired? I have hit potholes in the past sufficient to puncture my tyres but have accepted that and met the cost of repairs in each case. However, in this instance as clearly my losses in respect of the incident are going to be significant I feel I have to make claim. Thank you. Kind regards Paul Selway 07453 067212

I would also like to express how unpleasant it is to be shaken about in my car over this section - the road surface is in desperate need of attention here.
