Cars crashing into our house!
Reported by Annabel Smith at 11:24, Mon 5 November 2018
Sent to Bristol City Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 1453699.
A few weeks ago, a car crashed into our house and drove off. The matter is being investigated by the police. We need a bollard or two outside this corner property! Cars have crashed into our house before and regularly mount the pavement outside in order to park or just cut the corner. It is very dangerous, particularly in winter weather.
Updates
-
A number of neighbours have agreed to support our request for bollards on this corner as they know how dangerous it is.

We've as yet had no reply from the council on this.

The council has replied that it could not put a bollard outside our house as the pavement is too narrow (not true), as it would obstruct the pavement (absurd as cars are allowed to park on the pavement anyway) and because of underground utilities. So no resolution and no offer to meet with a named human being. Very disappointing response.

I think you have out the pin in the wrong place on the map, as the pin is not on a corner, and it's shown on a flat area of the Hotwell Road opposite the Grain Barge.

The Pin was placed in the wrong place on the map, so the Householder will need to make a new report, placing the Pin in the correct position.
