Pavement Parking

Reported in the Car parking category by Alex B at 11:06, Wed 14 November 2018

Sent to Bristol City Council 3 minutes later

Several motorists continue to parrk on the pavement on Dirac Road on a daily basis. I call for you to put down yellow lines and parking areas to indicate where motorists can and can't park, without causing a nuisance to pedestrians.

  • Thanks. I understand in Dirac Rd that double yellows are soon to be implemented. I’ve seen the plans and they’re not very well thought out at eliminating pavement parking to be honest

This is not being addressed. In fact, it seems to be getting worse with the influx of yogafurie customers and new flats being built.

    Something needs to be done.

  • No, this is still an ongoing issue. A daily nuisance

  • This continues to be a problem..

The painting of double yellow lines could've helped to prevent this nuisance, but the planning of this has not been well thought out. After the lines are painted, the problem will still exist, as there are narrow pinch points with no restrictions. This means that motorists drive their cars up on to the pavements.

Further examples of pavement parking on Dirac Road. Please implement preventative measures, such as boulders on the grass and double yellow lines on the road. It's a nuisance, it's illegal and its anti-social.
