Damaged road kerbs
Reported in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 20:49, Thu 16 December 2010
Sent to Bristol City Council 1 minute later
The road kerbs along Birchwood road opposite the construction site are damaged due to the construction traffic going over the pavement and kerbs.
The kerbs are badly damaged and are broken with pieces missing, they also have damaged edges which could punture a car tyre, also because the kerb has dropped this is leaving a trip hazard to pedestrions
easy to report via the internet

NO the problem has not been fixed, normally with repairs the road or kerb the damaged area is marked with paint there are no marks at all to suggest that they have been looked at

The problem has not been fixed or even marked out to suggest it has been looked at.
The builders have fixed their side of the road but nobody has fixed the damage to our side that they and their suppliers have caused.

I keep leaving updates but still nothing happens, the other side of the road (builders side) has partially been fixed.
Plus the trench that was cut accross the road for the gas main the filled in area has this has dropped quite a lot with a result we are awakened every morning by the traffic especially lorries and vans dropping into this trench creating a noise.
Since my original request the roads have been marked in other areas close to us BUT we apparently have been ignored.
I know there are cut backs but maybe they company who originally filled the trench ought to come back and repair the road properly under guarantee.
Also can you advise when the kerbs on our side will be repaired.

This problem has not been fixed and also a trench was dug across this road and has not been levelled correctly making it very noisy when traffic goes over it
Why not get back the original repairers to rectify the matter
We also now have an infill of concrete in the road from the builders

I am fed up with answering NO to this question, obviously the council do not wish to carry out repairs to our kerbs, it has now been 6 months since it was reported, and I don't think it has even been looked at.
It has been decided by some of the residents to pay for the parts outside our own house ourselves or we fear it will never be fixed.
BUT THE ROAD THAT HAS LARGE DIPS DUE TO PREVIOUS EXCAVIONS HAS STILL NOT BEEN FIXED

I am fed up with replying to this when nothing happens, I don't think anybody is monitoring this site
The road around us have been repaired and resurfaced, Alison Road, School Road, WHY NOT Birchwood road ???????

Some of the gutter has dropped on both sides of the road, the bad repaired trench across the road creates noise when lorrys an vans go over it especially at night it is more noticeable
Some of the kers have been fixed by the residents by paying to have there kerbs dropped
BUT why are the other road being done and not Birchwood road ???
I don't expect anybody will take any notice of this it seems to be a waste of time, so maybe I should not ask the system to keep reporting back to me.
