The problem has NOT been fixed. The light is still out right now and I have not seen it on since it originally blew circa Boxing Day. If it was repaired, then it blew again immediately. We are talking about the main street lamp outside Blaise Hamlet opposite 22 and 24 Hallen Road, just in case there is any confusion.

Was fixed for a couple of days (Monday to Wednesday), but has now died again. I strongly suggest the Council checks for faults in the electrical circuit, especially the surge suppressor. This random blowing suggests that surges on the power cable are blowing the bulb, which suggest the surge suppressor has died. Easily checked and easily fixed if that is the problem.
