Speed reduction measures

Reported in the General Highways Enquiry category anonymously at 20:01, Tuesday 12 February 2019

Sent to Bristol City Council 4 minutes later

Palmyra Rd is used as a thoroughfare by non-residential cars and vans. Many are speeding up and down this road with no consideration to local residents. Frequently I have to wait minutes just to get safely into and out of my car in the morning and evening. Even so my car door has nearly been taken off by speeding motorists. There will be a death on this road and with the school so close this will likely be a small child. Traffic reduction measures such as road blockage to reduce the number of people using this road as a thoroughfare instead of Winterstoke would be ideal. If this is not possible, making this one-way would be the next best option. Alternatively, speed humps or chicanes would reduce the likelihood of a major traffic accident here by reducing the speed. Please take action before a death occurs.
