Many badly damaged slabs
Reported in the Pavement Defect category by Mark Brough at 16:46, Tue 12 March 2019
Sent to Bristol City Council 3 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1569943.
Many of the old (ancient?) flag stones outside the cathedral are broken. This has been caused by inappropriately heavy vehicles preparing the marquee for university graduation ceremonies twice per year. Poor-quality repairs have sometimes been effected, but these repairs themselves are now mostly broken up, resulting in an even worse surface for pedestrians. The solution is to protect the flags before allowing heavy machinery onto them.
