Pelican or Toucan Crossing - wait time too long

Reported in the Traffic lights category anonymously at 21:26, Sat 6 April 2019

Sent to Bristol City Council 4 minutes later

Before the recent roadworks this pelican or toucan crossing light would change stop the traffic a few seconds on the pedestrian/bicycle-user pressing the request button. It's now set to make the user wait twenty seconds or more, which is usually sufficient time for the user to cross in a gap in the traffic resulting in vehicles needlessly waiting at a red light. Please restore the setting on this crossing to change immediately on request by pedestrian/bicycle user.

  • I'll check on the wait-time next time I'm passing on my bicycle.
