Drain blocked by builders working on 43 East street, overflows every time it rains.
Reported in the Gully/Drainage category anonymously at 16:24, Tue 30 April 2019
Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 1617299.
Builders have been working in 43 East street for months now refitting the take away. They pour stuff down the drain and have washed loads of plaster and other stuff down the drain with a power washer, this has blocked the drain. Every time it rains, it floods, the flood almost reaches my front door when the rain is heavy.

You unblocked the wrong drain. The drain is not outside the front of the properties on East Street, which is the one you cleaned this morning, it is in the carpark behind the buildings, where I placed the map pin, this hasn't been unblocked.

This really requires no further action? The picture without the water is from this morning, when you look in the drain it looks like its cemented shut by the stuff the builders have washed down it. The picture with water is after light rain the other morning. If we get heavy rain it will flood my doorway! The people who cleaned the drains where here his morning but looked at the wrong drain. This really is a problem! If my property gets flooded who do I sue? The council or the builders?
