Works to building blocking pavement - cyclist must dismount

There is building work being carried out on the corner of Queen Square, opposite The Hole in the Wall. For several weeks now half the pavement has been blocked as the builders have erected boarding. This is very dangerous in rush hour as not only do you have many pedestrians filtering through the restricted space, you have cyclists racing through it as well. I feel that at the very least there should be a cyclist dismount sign. I discovered this morning that the whole pavement is now closed and the only path for everyone to use is the one immediately by The Hole in the Wall which isn't very big at all. It's very dangerous to expect pedestrians and cyclists to share this restricted path and only a matter of time before an accident occurs.
