The old sodium light was replaced with a modern white light which is far too bright and has no directional cover to shield no.18 from light polution. The new light is so bright it is incredible and is seeping into the front bedroom and living room. The council kindly inserted a light screen in the old lamp which I was very grateful for and improved my situation immensely. Could something similar be done with the new lamp, perhaps turn it down, or fit a cover that directs the light away from the house and down on to the road where it belongs? Note that the lamp outside No.1 Selborne Rd is not working, would this increase the brightness of the lamp outside my house? The attached photo shows the impact of this lamp on my house but als to a lesser extent on no's 16 and 20, the rest of he street is in darkness.
