Multiple vans and caravans parked on street

Reported in the Obstruction category anonymously at 09:53, Wed 5 June 2019

Sent to Bristol City Council 2 minutes later

There have been several vans/caravans parked on Herapath Street and Marsh Lane. Some have been there for months. They are attracting new vans to the location. I am reporting this at the request of residents who do not feel council are listening or solving the problem.

  • This is still and issue and more have turned up. This is causing issues trying to park our cars by our houses. Rubbish is also building up by one of the caravans. It’s not just caravans now but camper cans and lorries. This issue has been here for months and months. Residents are not feeling safe with the amount that are here.

  • It turns out this is now a caravan turn around site. Previous caravans have moved and now new ones have turned up. The vans are still there and being used to live in. Rubbish still one the green field and locals have to pick it up. Today a white van turned up and approx 10 people hanging around the camper van and caravans blocking the pavement for people to use. This is now a place where people think it’s ok to come and go with caravans and camper vans. Parking for locals getting very right and no longer able to use street where live due.

  • Please see photos issue not resolved! All that happens is a couple will move and we are left with two and then a few days later another few arrive in vans or caravans. This is poor from the council not to move these people on! Why is the council doing nothing, this is poor from the police and council who seem not interested in helping the locals who pay and live by the rules.

  • Even worse more have moved in! More rubbish! More noise and more issues with parking. The road is getting narrow and now causes traffic issues as well. This is poor!

  • Upon walking along this street today, it appears that all of the previous troublesome vans and caravans have now been moved on, par from the exception of one caravan and one van on Marsh Lane.
