This has been a problem for some time and I don't know whether or not it has been reported before but it has got worse, especially with the loose paving slab

  • To Manager, Tesco Eastville and Bristol City Council Roads Dep’t, Dear Sirs, Re footpath at lower entry to Tesco Eastgate car park. The public realm paving slabs near the entry are disrupted by the growth of tree roots from the tree established within the Tesco car park boundary. The tilted slabs form a serious trip hazard. One has now become so loose that it rocks up and down. While I am all in favour of growing trees I am also in favour of walking safely without being tripped up by obstructions. The situation requires Tesco to control the growth of the tree and the City Council then to level and reset the paving slabs. Please get on with the job before someone sues for damages! Yours sincerely,

    Sue Flint
