Very Loud Banging from Utility Cover

Large utility cover making very loud double banging noise when constantly driven over. This can be heard within the school and very disturbing. The cover is not level and very loose. Located about 5 metres from traffic lights outside West Town Lane Academy.

  • This problem has NOT been fixed as per update from Bristol City Council at 23.05 on 7 Aug. The utility cover has marks painted on it, assume to show problem. Still loud double banging noise when constantly driven over. Note site is 5 meters from approach to traffic lights on school side of road.

  • Received email from highways and traffic saying problem passed to Bristol Water, Thanks for update, however I understood that the utility cover was a telecom cover not water. The site is opposite 103 West Town Lane on school side of road, few meters from traffic lights.
