Inadequate pedestrian crossings

I am very disappointed to note that no real improvements have been achieved despite the recent extensive road works at this location. The temporary pedestrian crossing near the green bridge has been improved with wheelchair ramps, but no zebra stripes have been created. Driving uphill the crossing is well marked for road traffic, however when driving downhill there is no prior warning of a crossing, which combined with the poor sightlines, and the lack of a temporary speed limit under the bridge (where the road width is very narrow, and should be restricted anyway) means that traffic may not be prepared for pedestrians crossing at this point. This represents a serious risk for anyone crossing the road. The new crossing below the junction is not marked in any way, except there is an island in the middle of the road. The right turn lane that has been created when coming downhill and wanting to turn towards Shirehampton is quite pointless, because nobody turns right there - all turning traffic cuts across the 'extension' to Westbury Lane. The larger part of the so-called 'improvement' appears to be a waste of tax-payers' hard earned money, but with a few logical modifications could be seen to be more worthwhile.
