Street light is located directly outside bedroom window and even with blackout curtains lights up bedroom at night

Reported in the Street Light category anonymously at 10:34, Monday 17 June 2019

Sent to Bristol City Council 1 minute later

We live at number 9 and have a street light located directly outside our bedroom window which shines into the bedroom at night, resulting in us sleeping badly. We have installed blackout curtains but the light is so bright and close to the house that it still lights up the bedroom. Could a shade be added to the light please, to prevent the light from shining backwards onto the house. It affects both first-floor front windows, but in particular the separate single window and the left (when facing the house) panel of the bay window.
