Motorists parking on the pavement on my road cause similar obstructions and nuisance. They can be reported to the police, please call 101 with vehicle regs, etc

If you report it to the police they take notes then tell you to report it to the council parking enforcement and they say report it to the police. JOIN THE PASS THE BUCK WORLD. As we have done with a car parked right on the pavement on Bishopthorpe Rd.Shown police photo at Southmad police station now in fire station took notes and said tell the council. A Run Around.

The police are acting negligently then. If a car has been parked blocking the pavement they should slap a fine. I’m appalled to hear that they do nothing.

To end the story -- in the end the council parking enforcement came out because there was double yellow lines at the side of road although the car was fully on the pavement. All the parking on this estate needs looking at and something done.

Apologies if I missed that bit about double yellows. This is a council issue (although the police should fine for complete pavement blocking). As there’s double yellow lines, it’s an offence to park on the pavement
