Cigarette butts thrown in gutter and drain

Residents of the new build flats on the end of Lyppiatt Road, opposite the Red Lion PH, are routinely discarding plastic cigarette butts into the gutter and storm drain. These are toxic to wildlife. These people need to be educated.

  • Farther up the street is even worse. The staff and customers of the amusement arcade on the corner use the gutter as an ashtray. That and the pub opposite use the gutters and pavements as an ashtray. These butts kill wildlife. The customers of the

  • Littering is still carrying on. An environmental enforcement agent told me there is nothing they can do. Wildlife is dying painfully because of this attitude.
