Vehicles parked on double yellow line blocking cycle contraflow

Reported in the Obstruction category anonymously at 13:51, Wednesday 3 July 2019

Sent to Bristol City Council 5 minutes later

Every morning at school drop-off there are several vehicles parked on these double yellow lines. Pile Marsh road is narrow and these vehicles block the cycling contraflow, forcing cyclists (including my 5 year old son) into the path of oncoming traffic.

This has been the case as long as I recall.

This road is used by many parents on the way to Redfield Educate Together school which is just at the end of the road.

All schools are currently encouraging children and parents to walk and cycle to school to ease air pollution and congestion. Parking like this actively discourages parents and from doing so and endangers children in the process.
