Drainage in this area is still completely shocking after today's heavy rain, rendering the pavement virtually impassable to pedestrians, given the wave of water washing up every time a car goes past. Adjacent houses also being covered in water as a result of the splash from passing cars. The gutter is currently a lake reaching across virtually the whole of one inbound lane of Hotwell road.

Drainage at this location still terrible, regardless of any remedial work which may or may not have been carried out. Please can something be done? This was originally reported 4 months ago and nothing appears to have happened. Its unpleasant and inconvenient for residents and pedestrians and must be dangerous for drivers, given the depth the water now gets it. Surely its just a drain needs cleaning out?

How long does it take BCC to clear a blocked drain? Sounds like the start of a joke, but unfortunately for the residents and pedestrians of Hotwell Road, it stopped being funny in about July of this year. Again this morning a huge amount of water was covering the whole of the inbound lane of Hotwell Road, with the drain under it failing to drain anything away. Despite numerous 'jobs raised' being posted in reply to this problem being raised, clearly nothing has been done (or what has been done hasn't worked). How hard can be to sort out?

Following recent heavy rain over the weekend and early this week, it is clear that this situation has not been resolved and no attempt has been made to do so, despite six months plus of raising this via the council's suggested route. This repeated flooding represents a danger to both traffic and pedestrians, as well as a potential for property damage - while I'm no legal expert, I'd suggest that should any of these things occur, the fact that this issue has been raised repeatedly with the council and not resolved, would have any impact on any case.
