Illegal parking on the pavement and zebra crossing obstructing both and causing a hazard to vehicles turning out of Henleaze Park Drive
Reported in the Obstruction category anonymously at 11:57, Thu 25 July 2019
Sent to Bristol City Council 3 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1708210.
This car was left parked today 25/7/19 in Henleaze Road on a busy hot day while the occupant and her family were shopping in the store on the corner of Henleaze Park Drive and Henleaze Road. There were time limited parking spaces available in HPD less than 5o metres away at the time. This obstructed the recycling collection vehicle trying to turn left but was a bigger hazard to pedestrians as the car was parked across the zebra crossing on the black and white markings so we were unable to cross the road safely at 11.10 am. The pavement, which is cambered by the crossing, was partially blocked making it difficult for pedestrians to negotiate the pavement and impassable to mobility vehicles, rollators and baby buggies. This crossing serves the sheltered housing across Henleaze Road in particular. We enquired in the local rank of shops and found the driver with her family who apologised but said she didn't know where she had parked was illegal. She did move the car eventually by 11.15 to the designated space in HPD.
