I would like to make a complaint about the way that it has been attempted to be fixed. It would appear that the council did not read the initial issue and have just filled in the hole with tarmac hence destroying the ability to replace the flag stones and iron work that were originally in the hole. The original slabs and iron work can be clearly seen in the garden of the house where Montague hill meets Somerset street to the left. By not replacing the original slabs and iron work the council are destroying the appearance of the street. Instead of carrying out the botch job that has been done the street needs to have the original materials returned to their place and re-cemented rather than new materials placed that look dreadful and ruin the character of the area
