Pavement to side of restaurant - paving slabs broken

Reported in the Pavement Defect category anonymously at 12:21, Fri 9 August 2019

Sent to Bristol City Council 4 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1725940.

Pavement to side of restaurant - paving slabs broken and rocking. Kerb stones are broken. Could this corner be improved? Reduce the depth of the pavement and widen the turning to stop wagons driving on and damaging the kerbs/slabs. Lots of people are tripping. Could this be treated as a matter of urgency please?

Updates

  • The fact that several slabs (ie at least 4 or 5 rather than just 1, and the adjacent kerb stones) are broken and tipping/moving exacerbates the danger and makes this area particularly hazardous. This is especially so for the elderly, halt and lame, and of course the partially sighted, who are highly unlikely to be able to correct an initial stumble and may thus fall full-length and suffer significant injury.
