I want to make a complaint about a pothole on Hotwell Road, located on the lane that rises up and curves round to join onto Brunel Way before it crosses over Cumberland Basin towards Ashton. (See attached map, approx location indicated by red pin). On the evening of Saturday 31st August our car wheel hit this pothole.
We called out ATS Euromaster to our home the next day to assess damage and on inspection they confirmed that the Suspension Arm and Front Wheel Bearing had broken and that this was "almost certainly" caused by hitting the pothole. They also instructed us that the car was not safe to drive until repairs had been made.
Yesterday ATS undertook the repairs which consisted of replacing the Suspension Arm and Front Wheel Bearing, and I had to hire a car in the meantime, at additional cost.
I would like to know what you will be doing to a) repair the pothole urgently so this does not cause severe and dangerous damage to other vehicles; and b) compensate me for the above costs caused by Bristol City Council's negligence.
