Overgrown shrubs blocking Conham Rd, BS5 footway
Reported in the Obstruction category anonymously at 11:04, Wed 21 August 2019
Sent to Bristol City Council 1 minute later
URGENT - The pavement on the east side of Conham Rd from the junction with Lower Conham Vale to the point where the pavement ends, just south of Anchor Close is blocked at regular intervals by overhanging shrubs including brambles down to footway level. In places the footway is considerably narrowed. Pedestrians have to step into the road. Traffic exceeds the speed limit on this road; a fatality is becoming inevitable. A St George Strollers Walking for Health group is scheduled for Tuesday 3rd September and will have to be cancelled or completed rerouted if the footway is not cleared as currently there can be acceptable risk assessment written for this route. See www.troopers-hill.org.uk/strollers for the programme. N.B. A report of what seems to be the same problem (from the photo supplied) was made 30th July but the indicator showing the location was on the wrong side of the river. There was a Bristol City Council response saying "job raised" dated 6th August but nothing has been done in the location that I am reporting.
