Large slab has become detached, creating pothole and obstruction
Reported in the Carriageway Defect category by David Beasley at 11:52, Wed 28 August 2019
Sent to Bristol City Council 16 hours, 13 minutes later
A slab of concrete which forms the guttering at the side of the road has come away. This has created a pothole about 12cm deep, and the slab itself is laying in the road, creating an obstruction 10cm high. This is right at the edge of the carriageway, where cyclists could be expected to be riding. This poses a an extreme risk for cyclists. If a cyclist hit this, they would be thrown off. If a cyclist sees the problem and tries to steer around it, they risk swerving into the path of a vehicle. This needs immediate attention. This is by the fire hydrant cover outside No 58 Stokes Croft ("Lick-n Chicken")
